Boom Audio Articles from Crystal HDAs fun as it can be to tut your touring bike around your home or to work, we know the real reason you’ve invested in one of these rides is to fly across the backbone of the country and see horizons you’ve never seen before. One of the biggest drawbacks of riding with your motorcycle, however, is that listening to your road trip playlist can be a little harder. Between the ambient noises of the road and screaming wind in your ear, audio can get buried.

With the right upgrades, you won’t have to miss out again. Get the BOOM!™ Audio system for the best quality sound that cuts through everything else. Even if you won’t be doing a lot of touring, upgrading your audio system can be a great investment.

If you like the features we list out here, then schedule a service appointment with Crystal Harley-Davidson® to get your BOOM!™ Audio system today. We welcome all riders from the areas New Port Richey, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clermont, Spring Hill, Inverness, Dunnellon, and Chiefland, Florida.

Cutting through the Noise

Whether you’re cruising through the wide open plains, pristine mountains, or vast deserts, there’s an endless amount of noise that comes naturally from even the quietest landscape. Add on top of that the whistling of the air around you and the roar of your engine and you’ll probably find--if you haven’t already--that any audio system your bike may have come with just doesn’t hold up. The BOOM!™ Audio system, on the other hand, is specifically designed to cut through the noise around you so you get crystal clear sound. This happens because each component is thoroughly tested to ensure you only get the best. It’s also incredibly easy to install, partially because Harley-Davidson® designs the BOOM!™ Audio system to match the specific electrical setup of individual models. This will also save you a mechanical scare as it won’t trigger any Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

BOOM!™ Audio Equalization Radio Program

So how exactly does the BOOM!™ Audio system so effortlessly cut through the noise? It’s all thanks to its one of a kind equalizer that not only carries over all other sounds, but provides the best quality sound every time. Plus, whether you’ve got a two-speaker system or a four-speaker system, whether you need to boost the bass, the mid-range, or even the higher ranges, there’s a system to perfectly fit your ride’s speaker setup. There are also superior amplifiers, designed to take the original signal, no matter where it’s coming from, and create the cleanest, purest sound.

BOOM!™ Audio Stages

Depending on what you need or what you want, the BOOM!™ Audio system comes in two different setups, or stages.

Stage I

Stage I is the basic setup, built to create the best sound. It comes with single amplified, two-way, 75-watt per channel speakers, featuring a woofer and tweeter to best improve both high and low sound. Plus, a 75-watt amplifier channel makes your sound free of hiss, clicks, and pops.

Stage II

For the true audio fanatics who need something more robust, you’ll probably be more interested in the Stage II setup. This features a more complex audio system, including bi-amplified, three-way, 150-watt per channel speakers with a woofer, a mid-range, and a tweeter. In other words, you’ll get only the fullest low, mid and high frequency sounds. Not to mention, it’s powered by two 75-watt amplifier channels for each speaker with an additional amplifier channel powering the woofer and mid-range/tweeter combo. You probably won’t even notice the noise of the road.

Just because you want to enjoy the road on the back of your motorcycle, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your favorite sounds. With the BOOM!™ Audio system, you won’t have to miss out on a single chord or sound again.
